Haha! Look at it... breakeven stress for well over half the month, then what appears to be a $30k heater towards the end. I'm not sure if i'm gonna play today so there it is. A pretty bad Feb, though not as bad as Jan... so that's good I guess, and also I probably shouldn't complain about making ~$25k in a month.

I can't think of too many specific goals for March, other than play really well, study hard (I guess I could apply that to uni too) and mayyyybe not go out so much.. though that will probably never happen. Also I kinda wanna do something fun with some money.. it just feels like I am constantly saving when I earn more than 95% of the nation (?) and 99.9% of students (?) (estimates obv.. but you should get the general point, also way too many brackets). So maybe I will..... but also maybe it is last nights drink talking cos I am def very hungover and also have a football match in a few minutes.. awesome!

Month picking up just toward the end.

On Tuesday I played a decent 1000 hand(ish) session, ended +4k, felt like I played really well.

Yesterday I played for like 15 minutes on a (particularly good) table inbetween lectures and my football match - which we won, 2-1.

Today I played another 1k hands, ended +2kish. Month stands at ~$24k in ~30k hands. Happy it's picking up but still far from what I'd call a good month. Today I got back into playing 10/20.. it's hard to play multiple tables of 10/20 for me when I'm not doing too well, cos it's still kinda painful to lose multiple stacks there.

I have a couple of lessons next week which I am really looking forward to. What I'm not looking forward to however, is the next few hours. I have football training, and am still very much hungover. Uhoh.

Last couple of days.

I played on Sunday, and also today. Finished ~+2k in each session. Hopefully I will play a bit more tonight after football training and after having done a little bit of uni work that needs doing. Esp since each of those sessions were pretty short - like 2 hours max.

I'd like to write something a bit more interesting but, that's really all I've got.

Too hungover to play, so I write instead.

Yeah it's 5:30pm, too hungover from last night to try and play. Though it is poker related. Me and a mate from football organised a poker tournament for the football squad. There were around 30 people and we had 6 tables. Starting stacks 2k with starting blinds at 25/50 - wasn't exactly deepstacked but then again there were people minbetting and other weird stuff so it was alright. We only had like 3.5 hours to finish it. It finished 5 mins before we were getting kicked out so it was pretty perfect. Everyone loved it - was a great laugh.

I broke/lost my iphone now they wont give me a new phone cos i informed them too late, it's pretty ridiculous. Oh well.

3 winning sessions GASP in a row!

So the last 3 sessions I have played have been +3.5, +1.5 and +4, so I'm ~+12 on the month. It would be really nice if this was the end of the breakeven stretch. Though I have probably jinxed it.

Other things I have done recently: Gone out lots, Played football on Saturday v top of the league team, won 2-1. Wrote about it for the uni paper. Went home, and got lots of uni work done. Actually not really in that order. Oh yeah, and bought a 'table spotting present' for hoooooof, like Joe did for me. Seeing as he told me a decent place to sit and I won ~5k there.

Well It's 20:18 and i just got done playing 8 hours of poker. I was up 4k, then down 9k, now evenish.

I had 3 or 4 sets busted, lost flips, 2 fullhouses over-fullhoused... I dunno if that's a word? It should be cos it sounds like something that would happen in Middlesborough.

It was, again, brutal. Though I'm happy to be back at 0. Seeing as it's Friday, it's time to delete the memories I just created, with alcohol.

Hands maybe coming later, probably not though. Month stands at a trainwreck of 3k. Playing well though.

Worst EV day ever.

EV = Expected value. It bascially means what you would have earned during your session if everything had gone the way it *should* - statistically in all-in pots. My EV line is at around +$8k, while I actually lost ~4k. $12k in EV gone is a lotttttt for a day esp as I only played 5/10. I am marginally still +money for this month, but it's really starting to annoy me, it has been a good 30 days that it's been like this for, and I don't really like it!

There were obviously some absurd hands that happened but I can't be arsed to post them all. The annoying thing is, the games were sooooo soft today and if today had been a normal day I would have crushhhhhhed.

This is def not how I imagined 09' starting!

On to Feb

I had my worst month ever as a poker pro in January. Even though I am not strictly a poker pro anymore. I made around $8k in ~40k hands. + Rakeback will be just over 10k I would imagine. I had so many -10k days I lost count. Pretty soul destroying.

Febuary has started off very similar, very swingy and breakevenish. I have played 5k hands, and am up $4k though, so hopefully it will be a better month.

Uni wise Feb has started off well. We had the most snow I have ever seen on Monday and as a result, Monday and Tuesday got cancelled, so there were massive campus snow fights going on. It was great. I got my semesters results back from the exams I did, and came out with a 2-1 overall (I am told). I thought the exam results could have maybe been a little better.. then again the first year doesn't count for anything. It's not only that, but I have gained a 2-1 and also made >$100k since starting at uni... so I am satisfied with it.

Also I am ill at the moment.. (obv) again. But I have to get ready to go out in a bit to a football fundraiser then the union. Why? Because I have Thursdays free!

Also (also) I sign a contract on renting a house with 4 friends tomorrow, for next year in a really nice house, so I am pretty happy about that.
