April over. Eventful!

-$14k on the desktop at home. Makes the total at around $51k in 33k hands before rakeback.

I think I'm pretty pleased with the month. I had my 3 biggest losing days ever this month. Ran ~$40k below EV, and still made a decent amount, i'm fairly sure I can't complain.

Next month I won't be able to play too much, I don't think. I have exams in the middle of the month also lessons, and a project (I think?) to complete. Then after the exams the month will get crazy with nights out here.

Thoughhhh.. I am gonna set myself a goal of playing a soft 25/50 table. Lets hope I can manage the strenuous goals I set myself.....

Tuesday 28 April 2009

20BI!

Hit 20Buyins below EV today. That's $40k below EV on the month.

Brightside (pretty big one); I'm still +$41k in 30k hands for the month. Lets hope for a good run in.

Saturday 25 April 2009

back home

Just posting this so I can actually remember as it wont be recorded on my laptop. -$14k session, another 7k under EV in 1000 hands. Not too fun.

Friday 24 April 2009

Time for an update!

Right, since a week ago, I have played like 1500 hands of poker maybe? I have no idea. Won the league and cup, and seen my sister for the first time in 7 months.

It has been really good, the only downside was that Newcastle lost...

I would describe the football, but doubt I would do it justice, and I'm feeling lazy (though not lazy enough to hire a PA; that rant will def be coming soon), however it is described in great detail at http://www.universityofsurreyfc.co.uk/

The month so far:

Random hand that really annoyed me:

Friday 17 April 2009

Month so far.

I have absolutely no idea what is going on this month. Every day I'm under EV basically.. in total $25k under EV. Have had -$20k, -$17k and -$13k days and am still up $32k in 23k hands.

Wont be playing for a couple days because of football. Infact I wont play a lot for the next week. It's a massive footballing week.

Sat - Uni title decider, then FA cup semi-final.
Sun - Mates cup final, Newcastle v Spurs, another FA cup semi-final
Wed - Uni cup final

Also my sister gets back on Monday from travelling the world and I am going to the airport at like 5am. All this amounts to very little sleep and lots of nights out, which in turn = no poker....

....but i'm looking forward to it!

Friday 10 April 2009

I just keep breaking records in April!

Basically I got killed today. About -$20k... again, biggest ever losing day. Some ridiculous hands, but I'm not gonna post them. Just gonna take a day or two break from poker, play a bit of football, go out have a few drinks, then get back to the grind over the weekend when I leave uni.

This is the month so far. 10 Painful days for sure!

Down $1k on the month. EV adjusted I would be up $22kish. I have a feeling this would be pretty standard for me at lower limits, but it seems a lot worse as this is the first month where I have solely been playing 10/20.

Monday 6 April 2009

Sunday 5 April 2009

Biggest losing day ever.

Yep, puts me down on the month.. by like 4 buyins. Nothing too much. Very annoying day though. I'm gonna post some ridiculous hands. I guess I gotta get used to these types of swings, cos it should be common at 10/20... though the thought of getting used to losing the value of my car in a day makes me not wanna play too often!

He is an Ipoker reg, but he is really attrocious. His bankroll is running on variance. He/she should really think about playing the lottery.

He should really rethink his line here. Obv it's all going in with these two hands though.

Just a lost flip, but if you're a 6max reg, you should see it's pretty terrible from a 10/20 reg.

Villain puts me in tough spots but is SERIOUSLY spewy. It doesn't matter how you play though if your 11%ers hit the river.

Other hands were standard flips/whatever. One hand I misread the board and I have only just realised now. That is pretty annoying.

Lessons for the next two days. Hopefully I can try and put in a recovery. 10/20 plays with your mind!
